Cardinal Conclave

2021 Conclave Registration is Open!

Conclave is April 16th – 18th, 2021

Countdown to Conclave

The section conclave is an annual activity (prior to 1972 known as an Area OA Conference) involving the six lodges in Section SR-7B.  Each conclave is led by section youth officers elected from among the member lodges at the previous year’s conclave, and the event itself is prepared in cooperation with various other lodge officers, and with one lodge serving as the “service lodge”.

The SR-7B Conclave is a gathering of over 1200 Arrowmen that occurs once a year in April at a Boy Scout camp in our Section. In short, its a great weekend of fun, training, and fellowship!  The 2013 Conclave at Camp Durant set an attendance record with 1701 registrations.

What's New for 2021

Due to the effects of COVID-19, Cardinal Conclave 2021 will look a bit different than most years but we are still committed to having a fun and meaningful event! During the event, we will be using a cohort model with 10 cohorts of 50 people, to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19. Delegates will remain in their separate cohorts throughout the weekend, camping together, eating together, and participating in programs together. Delegates will be assigned to cohorts based on program interest rather than a lodge. Given the limited capacity of the event, lodges will be responsible for determining who from their lodge will attend Conclave. Registering for Conclave with the Section does not guarantee attendance, however, registration is necessary to be considered by your lodge to attend. Each lodge will only be able to send an allotted number of delegates to Conclave. Individuals who register with the Section but are not selected by their lodge to attend will receive a full refund.

The deadline to register for Conclave with the Section is 11:00 p.m. on March 14th, 2021. Lodge leaders will then have until March 21st to indicate to the Section which individuals from their lodge will fill their allotted number of slots. Arrowmen should direct any questions about their lodge’s selection process to their lodge leadership as it is up to the lodge to decide how to allocate these spots.

Why should I attend Conclave?

Conclave is the largest event of the lodge year! Conclave is a full weekend of events such as the outdoor programs, fantastic training opportunities, competitions, Individual and Group Dance Indian Affairs Competitions, Section Elections, Ceremony Competitions, Patch Trading, Nightly Shows, the always anticipated Quest for the Golden Arrow, Lodge Cook-Off competitions, the Spirit Award Competition…as you can see the list keeps going on and on. On top of all this, you’ll get to hang out with your friends and meet other brothers from all over our Section. SR-7B has one of the largest Conclaves in the country each year.

What are the program areas?

This program area will provide Arrowmen with the opportunity to participate and compete in Powwow and Team Dancing, as well as learn new skills in crafting, dancing, and singing. All Dance Competitions will take place in this cohort throughout the weekend.
