Registration Now Open for NOAC

The National Order of the Arrow Conference is quickly approaching. This summer, NOAC will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. The conference will take place July 30th to August 4th, 2018. There will be many different training opportunities, including AIA training and competitions, communications, program, leadership and everything in between. Ask anyone who attended NOAC in 2015 and they’ll tell you it was one of the most enjoyable weeks of their life.
If you’re interested in attending NOAC in 2018, there are a few things you should know. First, all Lodges have been issued a select number of spots based on their membership size due to capacity restraints at Indiana University. Second, conference leadership has instituted a ratio of 3 youth to every 1 adult registered for this NOAC. Finally, Lodges will have an opportunity to claim unassigned spots on January 16th, 2018. You might be wondering, what does this all mean? It means you should register early if you’d like to attend NOAC 2018. Each Lodge has their own process in determining who will be part of their contingent. Talk to your Lodge’s NOAC contingent leadership if you’re interested in attending as a participant.
Your Lodge’s NOAC contingent may fill up quickly and if you don’t get a spot, you may have another chance by serving as staff. It takes an army of staff members to put on an event of this size and enthusiastic members are encouraged to apply for staff. Registration for staff opened on October 2nd. Head to https://registration.oa-bsa.org to apply for NOAC staff.
